Who'd have thought a dish full
of sheep DNA would capture the imagination of the world?
Who's the most important sheep the world has ever
known?
In a Scottish laboratory, dreamed, conceived, and grown,
Well, she was experimental, but you ain't seen nothing yet,
She passed away one winter's day... but returned in old Tibet:
Dolly Llama, with her lla-lla-llama-ly eyes.
Dolly Llama, weren't those Buddhist monks surprised,
Their spiritual leader's shown
To be a reborn livestock clone
Dolly Llama, with her lla-lla-llama-ly eyes.
Dolly Llama, with her lla-lla-llama-ly eyes.
Dolly Llama has advanced toward Paradise,
Once a home-made farm fatale,
Now she's quite the Glama gal,
Dolly Llama, with her lla-lla-llama-ly eyes.
Well, Dolly has a new sense of responsibility.
To lead the fight for justice and Tibetan liberty.
Her monk's rags are all ruminants -- wool, she cud-n't just wear chiffon,
She asked a French computer lab, "Do you have any Cray Mouflon?"
Dolly Llama, with her lla-lla-llama-ly eyes.
Dolly Llama has some doctrine to revise:
"If you meet the Buddha on the road,
Spit in his eye and accept his load" --
Dolly Llama, with her lla-lla-llama-ly eyes.
Dolly Llama, with her lla-lla-llama-ly eyes.
Dolly Llama has her heart set on the skies.
She was cloned, she died, reborn devout --
We're not ruling ANYTHING out.
Dolly Llama, with her lla, lla, llama-ly eyes!
